Artist Theresa Lee

Theresa Lee

After many years of painting in Abstract, Impressionistic and Realistic styles,Theresa Lee
has found her true genre in a body of Semi-Abstract images.

Born in Seoul, South Korea,Theresa studied at the National Teacher College, and after moving
to Canada, she enrolled at North Vancouver’s Capilano College, subsequently graduating from
Emily Carr College of Art & Design with a degree in Studio Art.

“I enjoy experimenting to find unique ways of expressing my inner feeling without
losing faith in the subject matter. Playing light & shadow with spontaneity,
and splitting shape and color into small segments, I create a sense of drama and
visual excitement.”

Theresa’s award-winning work has been featured in books and news articles and she
has been interviewed on the television show, Art Update. Painting full time from her studio on
the beautiful British Columbia Sunshine Coast, Theresa continues to exhibit internationally. Her
paintings hang in private collections throughout Canada and the US, and a complete selection of
her work can be seen on her personal website, www.theresaleestudio.com.
