2018 Amsterdam Whitney Gallery
New York, NY

AMSTERDAM WHITNEY GALLERY, 531 West 25th Street- Ground Floor-Chelsea, New York City showcased the work of artist Theresa Lee in their March 2018  "LA DOLCE VITA" Exhibition.

Inspired by the Robert Rauschenberg statement: "There is no reason not to consider the world as one gigantic painting", contemporary painter Theresa Lee's acrylic series visually expresses the boundless expanses of our universe through an exploration of organic lines, a spectrum of opulent colors, and the brilliant energies of nature's formations. Painting the vibrant essence of water topography, her lyrical compositions are an intimate conversation with the terrain, offering a renewed opportunity for a divine reflection of nature and its visual harmonies. Focusing on vivid color and integrated texture, her paintings evoke a sense of spirituality and tranquility that reveal the power and beauty of nature as its flows between realism and abstraction. Painting with intuitive and softly expressive brush strokes, she portrays the ever-changing complexion of the landscape with an ethereal immediacy as she maintains the mediation freedom and breadth of nature with her signature style.
